Baselink AI Community Guidelines

Version v1.1.0 · Effective 2026-09-24 · Translated 2026-09-16

Baselink AI is an app for filming your own play on video and getting better while looking at the AI's analysis. To make it a place where people who want to improve can practice without worry, we have put together the things we ask everyone to follow.

These guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. They rewrite what the Terms of Service say, in easier words. If these guidelines and the Terms of Service ever seem to say different things, the Terms of Service are the correct rules. If you do not follow what is written here, your posts may be removed, or you may lose the ability to use the app.

We have tried to avoid difficult words as much as we can. If you read something and do not understand it, read it together with someone at home, or ask us through Contact us.

1. Who can see your posts

Before anything else, please know this one thing.

When you post, the setting starts out as "public."

If you post while it is set to "public," that video, your words, and the AI's score can be seen by anyone who uses Baselink AI — including people who do not follow you.

Even if you choose "private," here is something to be careful about. Someone who knows the video's URL (address) may be able to see it even without using the app. Do not tell anyone the URL. If there is something you absolutely do not want seen, the safest thing is not to post it in the first place.

Your profile can always be seen by everyone. Your nickname, user ID, profile image and cover image, self-introduction, links to other SNS and the like, gender, the prefecture you live in, fielding position, throwing hand and batting side, playing experience, favorite players, current challenges, the team or school you belong to, follows and followers, and your numbers of posts and likes.

Your email address and date of birth cannot be seen by other people.

Before you post, take a moment to think. "Would I be OK with everyone in my class seeing this?"

2. Things that are different depending on your age

Baselink AI can be used by everyone from elementary school students to adults. Depending on your age, the following things are different.

Your age What is different
Before you turn 13 Only ads for all ages are shown. You will not see ads matched to your interests. Also, you can use direct messages (one-on-one or group) with other users only if the grown-up who looks after you has given consent
Before you turn 16 In addition to what applies before you turn 18, the consent of someone at home is also needed for how your information is handled (the Privacy Policy). Read it together with someone at home
Before you turn 18 (minors) Using the app itself requires the consent of someone at home. In particular, anything that costs money, such as buying Coins or applying for instruction from a Coach, must be done only after getting their consent

Your age is decided from the date of birth you entered when you registered. Register your date of birth correctly. If you write something untrue, the settings that protect you will not work.

If you are under 13, you can use direct messages with other users only if the grown-up who looks after you (your guardian) has given consent. Please get this consent for the message feature specifically, separately from the consent for using the app as a whole. We are now preparing a feature that checks this consent in the app, and a feature that limits use automatically based on your age. Until those features are ready, if you are under 13, always check with the grown-up who looks after you before you use messages.

For exchanges between people aged 13 and over, the app does not currently have a feature that limits who you can exchange messages with based on your age. We will be looking into safety features that match your age. Until then, everyone please follow the rules in "4. Things you must not do in posts and messages" and "6. Interacting with Coaches."

3. What you can post

What you can post on Baselink AI is things related to your own practice and play.

4. Things you must not do in posts and messages

You cannot post things like the following. If we find them, we may remove them.

Things that hurt people

Advice for getting better is different from insults. Think about whether it is said in a way that makes the person want to practice more.

Dangerous things and things that break the rules

Pretending to be someone or tricking people

Using the app to look for dates

Things that belong to other people

Information that can identify a person

Even if it is your own information, once something goes out on the internet, it can never be completely erased. Just a school name or the scenery near your home appearing in a shot can give away where you live.

Danger signs when an adult gets close to you

Apart from the things you must not do, there is something we want you to know for your own sake. Sometimes an adult becomes friendly with a child and gains their trust, and then moves toward demands involving the child's body or secret exchanges (this is called grooming). Approaches like the following are danger signs.

None of this is your fault. If even one of these applies, do not reply — tell someone at home, or tell us through "8. Reporting when something is wrong or you find a rule being broken." The Company prohibits this kind of conduct, and when we are told about it we handle it with the highest priority.

Things that have nothing to do with the app

5. When other people appear in your video

Other people can end up in your videos without you meaning it: teammates, opponents, people cheering, people passing by.

People have the right not to have their image used without permission (portrait rights). Not just famous people — everyone has this right.

Check before you post.

  1. Ask anyone who is clearly visible, "Is it OK to post this?" Even with friends, posting without asking can lead to trouble
  2. If a child appears, also ask that child's family
  3. If you cannot ask, do not post. Or edit it so their face cannot be recognized

If someone later says "please take it down," put their feelings first. If you cannot delete it yourself, contact Contact us and the Company will take care of it.

At tournaments and game venues, the tournament may have its own rules (like no filming or no posting to SNS). Please follow those too.

6. Interacting with Coaches

On Baselink AI, you can have a Coach look at your form. To keep it safe to use, we have decided the following.

You decide whether to show things to a Coach.

Things we ask you to follow when interacting with Coaches

About messages from adults (for minors)

To Coaches (these are not requests — they are rules you must follow)

On interacting with minor users

On handling the data you receive

If you violate these, we will take the actions written in "9. What happens when rules are broken." Give instruction in words that help the other person keep working at it.

Instruction from a Coach uses Coins.

7. About the AI's analysis results

The form analysis results the AI gives you are hints for getting better.

8. Reporting when something is wrong or you find a rule being broken

If something upsets you, or you feel something is dangerous, do not keep it to yourself — report it. The Company will never tell the other person who reported them.

How to report

  1. Choose "Report" from the "…" menu on a post
  2. If you want to tell us about the person themselves, choose "Report" from their profile
  3. Or email info@sportstechjapan.com

For messages and comments, there is currently no way to report from inside the app. If something troubling happens, email info@sportstechjapan.com. It helps if you attach a photo of the screen so we can tell which exchange it is about. We are getting ready so that you can report these directly from inside the app.

What the Company does after you report

If you do not want anything to do with that person, you can also "block" them. Choose "Block" from their profile. You can both report and block.

What to tell us when you report

Things to talk to us about right away

We handle these with the highest priority. If you feel danger is close, do not wait for the app's report — talk to someone at home, a teacher at school, or the police (dial 110).

When you do not know who to talk to

If it is hard to talk to someone at home or a teacher at school, you can talk to Childline (a phone line for children up to age 18: 0120-99-7777, every day from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., free of charge). You do not have to give your name.

9. What happens when rules are broken

When we receive a report, or find a violation ourselves, we check what happened and may take actions like the following.

Step Action
1 Deleting or hiding the post or message
2 Sending a warning notice
3 Making posting and messaging unavailable for a set period
4 Suspending or deleting the account

Which step we start from depends on what the violation is. For things that touch on people's safety (inviting someone to meet, sexual things, violent threats, impersonation), we may stop an account right away, even the first time.

If there is a risk of danger reaching a minor user, we may contact someone at their home through the contact details on file or by other means. For acts that break the law, we may also provide information to the police and other authorities.

If you are not satisfied with an action we took, contact us through Contact us. A different staff member from the one who made the first decision will look into what happened and reconsider if needed.

Note that even when acting to stop insults, the Company is not obligated to always delete a post (as set out in the Terms of Service). Even so, we check every report.

10. Changes to these guidelines

When the contents of the Service change, or new problems come up, we will review these guidelines. When we make a change, we will let you know in the app or on this page before the day it changes. For big changes that would put you at a disadvantage, we will let you know at least 14 days before.

11. In closing

We have written a lot of rules, but the most important thing is just one.

On the other side of the screen is someone who wants to get better, just like you.

Please build, together with us, a place that makes that person want to practice again tomorrow.
