SportsTech Japan, Inc. (the "Company") may transmit information recorded on users' devices to external parties in connection with "Baselink AI" (the "Service"). Pursuant to Article 27-12 of the Telecommunications Business Act, the Company discloses below the contents of the information transmitted, the recipients, and the purposes of use.
This Policy covers the applications (iOS/Android) of the Service. For the handling of personal information in general, see the Privacy Policy.
Of the transmissions described in this Chapter, the transmissions in 1-1, and the transmissions relating to authentication, push notifications, in-app purchases, and protection against unauthorized access (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Apple, Google Play billing, and LINE Login (only when used)), are necessary for providing the Service. The transmissions relating to usage analysis (Firebase Analytics, Performance Monitoring, PostHog), defect detection (Crashlytics), and advertising (AdMob) are not essential to providing the Service, and how to stop them is described in Chapter 2.
To provide the functions of the Service, the following information is transmitted to the Company's servers (built on Microsoft Azure; location: within Japan (East Japan region)).
| Information transmitted | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Video data you record | AI form analysis, and display and storage of analysis results |
| Post body text, titles, and visibility settings, and comments | Publishing and displaying posts, generating feeds |
| Body text of direct messages | Sending and receiving messages |
| Follow, like, bookmark, and block operations | Providing SNS features |
| Consultation content entered into AI chat, and the analysis results of the posts concerned | Generating AI responses (relayed to Google Vertex AI, described below) |
| Coin purchase and use operations, and the contents of coaching contract applications | Managing Coin balances, and the formation and performance of contracts |
| Device identifier (a device ID generated by the app) | Managing notification destinations, preventing misuse |
| Push notification token | Delivering push notifications |
| OS type, language settings | Tailoring notification content, determining the display language |
| Account information (user ID, etc.) | Identity verification, linking data |
| IP address, communication records (access logs) | Carrying out communications, preventing misuse, investigating failures |
Video data is processed for skeletal (pose) estimation on the Company's servers. Skeletal data is not extracted on the device. The results of analysis are stored on the Company's servers and in Google Cloud Firestore, described below.
About AI chat: The consultation content you enter and the analysis results of the posts concerned are sent, via the Company's servers, to Vertex AI provided by Google LLC, and used to generate responses. The history of your exchanges is stored on the Company's servers (within Japan).
About message attachments: Images, videos, and audio attached to direct messages are transmitted directly from your device to Google's Firebase Storage (they do not pass through the Company's servers).
About message notifications: Push notifications informing you that a message has been received contain part of the message body (the first 100 characters) and the sender's name, and reach the recipient's device from the Company's servers via Google's push notification platform (Firebase Cloud Messaging) (they are not transmitted directly from your device to Google).
The Service incorporates software (SDKs) provided by the following third parties. These transmit information directly from your device to the servers of the third party concerned.
The "Purpose" column in each table below shows the Company's purposes of use. The recipient companies may use this information for their own purposes; for those contents, please check each company's privacy policy listed in each section.
Provider: Google LLC (United States) / Google Ireland Limited

Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring collect information automatically from the moment the app launches.
Provider: Google LLC (United States)
| Information transmitted | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID), IP address, device information, records of ad impressions and clicks | Delivering advertising (for users aged 13 or over, this includes delivering personalized advertising tailored to their interests, depending on device settings), measuring advertising effectiveness, preventing click fraud |
Handling for minor users: The Service is designed on the premise that its users include those under 13. Based on the registered date of birth, for users until they reach their 13th birthday, the Company applies the child-directed treatment tag (a setting that designates to Google that they are to be treated under a child-directed service; tagForChildDirectedTreatment under COPPA, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and restricts the advertising content rating to all ages (G) before displaying advertising. With this setting, personalized advertising is not delivered. If the date of birth is unregistered or unknown, we err on the side of safety and apply the same settings. Until these settings have been applied, no ad requests are made at all.
About IP addresses: Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the course of communicating with Google's servers. It is not something the Company actively transmits, but because Google obtains it as a result, we state it explicitly here.

Provider: PostHog, Inc. (United States)
| Information transmitted | Purpose |
|---|---|
| User identifiers, app usage (screen transitions, operation events), device information | Analyzing usage, improving features |
| Screen operation recordings (session replay) | Identifying where users get stuck, improving the UI |
About session replay: The Service records app screen operations for a portion of users (currently about 50%). In making these recordings, all text, images, and video on the screen are transmitted in masked (blacked-out) form; what you type and the video footage itself are never transmitted. What is recorded is the structure of the screen and the position and order of operations.
The recipient is a server in the United States (us.i.posthog.com). Because this may constitute the provision of personal data to a third party in a foreign country, it is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Provider: LY Corporation (Japan)
| Information transmitted | Purpose |
|---|---|
| LINE user identifier, authentication tokens, profile information (display name, profile image) | Login with a LINE account |
This is transmitted only if you use LINE Login. The Company never obtains your LINE chat contents or friends list. The Service also does not provide any feature for sending LINE messages.

iOS
If you choose "Ask App Not to Track" on the "Allow tracking?" confirmation screen displayed when you first launch the app, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not transmitted.
To change this later: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off Baselink AI
Android
Go to Settings → Google → Ads (the name and location may differ depending on your OS version) and select Opt out of Ads Personalization, or Delete advertising ID
Turn off notifications for the app from your device's Settings. Transmission of the notification token will also stop.
Currently, the Service's app provides no setting to individually stop information collection by Firebase Analytics and PostHog. If you wish to stop collection, please contact the inquiry desk below. We will respond on an individual basis.
Planned improvement: We plan to add a settings screen in the app that lets you choose to stop information collection. Once implemented, we will revise this Policy to describe the procedure.
If you delete your account, no further transmissions take place. For the deletion procedure and the information that remains after deletion, see the Privacy Policy.
The Service includes many minor users. The Company handles them as follows.
An advertising identifier is, on its own, "personally referable information" that cannot identify a specific individual. The advertising identifier is transmitted directly from your device to Google through Google's SDK, and Google may link it with information Google holds and use it for advertising delivery and other purposes. Google's handling is governed by Google's privacy policy.
For users under 13 and users whose date of birth is unknown, the Company applies the child-directed settings described above and does not deliver personalized advertising. Users aged 13 or over can also stop the transmission of the advertising identifier and its use for personalized advertising through their device settings (see 2-1 above).
This Policy is posted on the Company's website (this page) and kept available for viewing at any time.
Planned improvement: We plan to add links so that this Policy can be accessed directly from within the Service's app (the settings menu and the sign-up screen). Once implemented, we will revise this Policy to reflect this.
If SDKs incorporated are added or removed, or the information transmitted changes, we will revise this Policy. The contents and history of revisions are available in the revision history.
When making a change disadvantageous to users, we will announce it at least 14 days before the change through in-app announcements or other means.
